Danger Global Warming Project

Dave White, the UK based artist, has been asked by The Blacksmoke Organisation to contribute to the Danger Global Warming Project to raise awareness for Greenpeace.

The initiative, which involves the artistic use of the ‘Danger Global Warming’ hazard tape has been supported by artists and celebrities from a variety of industries. Phillipe Starck, Andy Goldsworthy, Fab 5 Freddy, Christopher Price and Susan Sarandon are just some of the people who have enlisted their support for campaign.

As Keir Jens- Smith of the Blacksmoke Organisation says “A picture is worth a 1000 words. This is not about holding individuals accountable for global warming (after all, we’re all responsible) but it is about making sure those in a position of power are aware that the general public do care about the issue.”

For this work, Dave turned his attention to a new subject matter. Inspired by military hardware and the unpopular climate of war, his work, an oil painting 5ft x 4ft is entitled..

“We Come In Peace….Do We F$$k!”.
