Catering to the rising participation of female gamers, the latest products in Sony PS Pictogram accessories incorporated a few design cues for lady gamers. Sony, along with YOSHIDA & CO., the maker of PORTER bags, and women’s urban style label X-girl created a matching set of PSP case and large tote bag. A starry evening sky prints adorned both case and bag – inspired by Japanese band GENKI ROCKETS, who won acclaim for their hit song “Heavenly Star” on the hugely popular PSP puzzle game LUMINES 2.
Similar to other PSP cases made by YOSHIDA & CO., there are a number of compartments to store all of a gamer’s tools, such as headphones and extra UMD’s. Included is a carabiner in matching color for easy attachment to belt loop. The large tote bag is based on the PORTER’s “bean-shape” tote. Comfortably wrap around the wearer, the tote is spacious enough, not only for the PSP case, but to store a girl’s everyday needs and more. The tote also comes with 3 lapel buttons with the logos of Sony PS Pictogram, GENKI ROCKETS, and X-girl.
Each sold separately, the PSP case retails at JP¥ 9,975 (~US$ 80) and the large tote retails at JP¥ 16,800 (~US$ 135). Both are available at Sony PlayStation Japan online store and X-girl retail locations exclusively.
