One of the best aspect of a trade show is the opportunity to bump into old friends, as it did this time at PROJECT when we saw the super lay-back owner of Tokyo’s CHAPTER WORLD, Hommyo-san, roaming the booths with his entourage. Though the Japanese footwear brand UBIQ was not presents at any of the trade shows, Hommyo-san brought a few samples from the coming Spring/Summer seasons of 2008. Aside from a few sneakers with plaid uppers and another eL model composed of suede, two particular samples stood out. One being a traditional work boots, with purple plaid linings and an upper made of purple velvet. The other is UBIQ’s reinterpretation of the water-proof duck shoes. No information on the exact date of release or the names of the new models. However, be sure check here if more information come through.
