One interesting thing we saw during the trade show circuit at Las Vegas was a new collaboration between http://wesc.com” target=”_blank”>WeSC (http://wesc.com” target=”_blank”>We Are the Superlative Conspiracy) and Stash, graffiti artist and co-owner of http://reconstore.com” target=”_blank”>Recon. The collaboration will consist of t-shirts (including one that mimics the cardigan assemble), crewneck, hoodie, and cardigan. Each will feature silhouettes of Stash’s iconic spray paint nozzles graphics. Key areas on the apparel will also encompass Stash’s signature or paint speckles, in the artist’s favorite color: blue.
One other highlight of this upcoming collaboration is the selvedge denim. Based on WeSC’s Marwin model, the denim weigh 13.25 oz, with a button fly and tapered leg fit. Like all WeSC denims, it include WeSC signatures – selvedge coin and rear pockets, plus a jacron leather rear tab on the left side (all other denim labels have their rear tab on the right side). The Stash’s special edition will feature blue stitchings, enameled buttons and rivets, also in blue, and embellished rear pockets, with blue outline of the retired R16-R17 subway cars of NYC, a preferred medium among graffiti artists during 1970s~1980s. Comes in 2 colorways: raw and dark rinsed (a.k.a. “hostage”) with blue speckles. The entire collection will be release this August.
