Though it is now part of the Universal Music Group, people still identify Motown Records more as an independent label and the vision of one man - Detroit native Berry Gordy. To paid homage to this driving force in the way we listen to music, adidas created a special collection known as Motown Pack, part of its ongoing tribute to music and urban lifestyle.
The Motown Pack comprise of adidas Originals Superstar 1, with a black-on-black pin stripe fabric upper and patent leather 3 stripes. The original Motown Records “M” logo imprinted on the shoe tongue and the word “MOTOWN” labeled on the herringbone sole. The pack also includes a Motown printed t-shirt, pin stripe polo shirt, and jacket. All are available now at Overkill of Berlin plus other adidas Originals retailers.
