Over the course of the current NBA season, the NBA All-Star Guard for Washington Wizards, Gilbert Arenas, will be launching one of the most elaborate collaboration to date. Working in conjunction with adidas REMIX collection, Arenas will launch the Team Signature Lightswitch – Gil II Zero, a collection with 20 styles, each reflects Arenas not only as a talented basketball player, but an athlete that understand his role in the community and a loving father.
The 20 sneakers will be categorized into 3 distinct divisions – Underground, Elite, and Preferred, with the Underground series being the most limited and exclusive in availability. Both Elite and Preferred series are also limited in numbers. However, the sneakers in those 2 series will be more widely distribute.
As part of the more limited Underground Series, adidas partnered with famed vinyl figure designer, Eric So, and created the 3 Zero edition. Comprised of carbon-fiber like lattice work printed upper, with a special “gas mask” logo – for Eric So’s 3 Zero – painted on the heel tab. The shoe tongue included a hologram of both adidas and 3 Zero symbols. This edition will be limited to 2 markets only, U.S. with 200 pairs, and Asia with 300 pairs. Be on the lookout tonight as the Gil II Zero – 3 Zero edition makes its debut when the Washington Wizards go against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Note: Washington Wizards went to beat Milwaukee Buck, 105 to 97. Unfortunately, Arenas sat out because of his continue recovery from a knee surgery last November.
