From afar, it appears to be an average flip-flop. A closer look reveals a series of skulls and cross-bones embossed onto the sole. The flip-flop is one of the latest product from SPALDING by ROEN, a collaborative sub-label between athletic goods giant Spalding and Japanese urban apparel label Roen. This is purely aesthetic driven product, meaning there are no advance technical features like most other athletic goods. Just a combination of interesting design idea on an often overlooked accessory. One unique aspect, however, is that the flip-flop, along with a foam key fob, all come on single foam board with the components pre-cut for detachment. Offer in Japan only, but now available for international sale at Cliff Edge in Yokohama.
