Created by another legendary member of Nike, Bruce Kilgore. Air Force 1 was the first basketball sneaker to feature the Nike Air sole. It was, however, it was its streamlined appearance which helped it propagate across the cultures. The simple design permitted numerous customizations that would rival the options available on Nike iD today.

Nike Air Force 1 Supreme

The reinterpretation Air Force 1 by Nike Sportswear is one with a multi-dimensional theme. At the center is the classic silhouette that debuted 26 years ago. Instead of just simple cloth and leather, the updated NSW Air Force 1 will add injected thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) to the upper. This provides additional support and a very unique method to create stunning graphics on the exterior, in this case, a 3D visual of the “Bird’s Nest” Stadium, the centerpiece of upcoming 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
