atmos Tokyo, along with long time collaborator Sanrio, creator of Hello Kitty, launched new addition of the ongoing atmos x Hello Kitty collection – Fukubukuro Pack. Fukubukuro (ç¦è¢‹), roughly translated as “Lucky Bag” or “Happy Bag”, been a long held tradition by Japanese retailers since the Meiji period. Much like grab bags, fukubukuro usually filled with special or hard to get items for shoppers at a discounted price. But because it is limited in availability, it is typically offered around holiday seasons.
The atmos Tokyo x Hello Kitty Fukubukuro (ç¦è¢‹) Pack feature 4 items inside: a black mesh cap, a black colorway t-shirt and terry cloth towel, all imprinted with the Hello Kitty cross-bone print. There are also a Hello Kitty Ballon T-shirt in white. A few fortunate shoppers also received autographed photo of idol and fashion model Minami Akina (å— æ˜Žå¥ˆ), in conjunction with Japanese magazine Street Jack‘s 11th anniversary, yesterday afternoon at atmos Tokyo’s flagship in Harajuku.
The atmos x Hello Kitty Fukubukuro (ç¦è¢‹) Pack is currently available at atmos Tokyo flagship and its online store for JP¥ 10,500 (~US$ 101).
