Born as Pieter Cornelis Mondriaan, Dutch master Piet Mondrian was one, if not the most, renown artist to propagate the art form of De Stijl, an artistic movement that took place in the early part of 1900s. Commonly known as Neo-Plasticism, this unique art movement derived from the ideals of harmony and order. All of which is exemplified in Mondrian’s paintings of horizontal and vertical lines, in addition to the exclusivity of primary colors on the painting.
Drawn on his revolutionary and controversial works, Nike SB created the Dunk Low Premium SB in the same bold strokes of black outlines on an all white background, interjected with accents in primary colors of yellow, red, and blue. Composed from a mixture of white canvas and leather, the Mondrian-insipred Dunk Low is limited to a few Nike SB retailers, including Caliroots of Sweden.
