Perhaps one of the most unique festival, http://comeoutandplay.org/index.php” target=”_blank”>Come Out & Play encourages people to utilize the urban setting as, more or less, an actual playground. Since the festival’s creation in 2006, hundreds of people have took part in games, some familiar, like an updated version of the scavenger hunt called Super Happy Fun City Bingo. Others just plain wacky, like Manhattan Megaputt, where the streets of Lower East Side transforms into a gigantic miniature golf course, with all the factors of a busy city neighborhood become golf course hazards. Select from 20+ games and the best part is they are all completely FREE to participate. Simply sign-up the games you want to take part and join in. The reward is a great way to enjoy your weekend, catch up with old friends, meet new ones, and know a little bit more about the city.
All participants or interested parties should meet at http://bluestockings.com/” target=”_blank”>Bluestockings Bookstore, this year’s host, in LES before the scheduled event.
