An addiction can lead to good things sometimes. Take the case of the UK-based artist and sneaker customizer Rob L. Since the late 1980s, Rob L became a sort of aficionado with PUMA Clydes and Suedes, collecting countless of them. Soon he was customizing them with simple off the shelve Pantone markers. By "breaking apart" what was then a solid single color upper, Rob L produced patches that look to be like tiny islands, hence his signature "archipelago" (Greek term for collection of islands) style was born. Fast forward to 2007 when PUMA approached Rob L for a new collaboration concept for its upcoming Clyde release. The result is the Rob L x PUMA Clyde - Archipelago Pack. Featuring that signature pattern of Rob L on either sky blue or white leather uppers with bi-color laces. The pattern was also printed on the insole along with Rob L tag. In addition, 2 t-shirts in matching colorways, with the archipelago graphic, will be available as well.
Limited to 500 pairs worldwide per color. The Rob L x PUMA Clyde - Archipelago Pack is set to be launch on June 21st. However, you can set a pre-order at Tokyo's mita Sneakers now.
