The approaching months of July and August traditionally means season of festivals in Japan, with each prefectures or cities celebrating a deity, a lore, or a tradition. Yamakasa (å±±ç¬ ) is such an event. Taking place in the Japanese city of Fukuoka (ç¦å²¡å¸‚) for the past 700 years. The 2-week long festival, usually held in July, feature massive (weighing a few tons) vibrant floats, each raced through a pre-defined parade route on the shoulder of men in traditional garbs. In honor of this long standing tradition, Nike create the Dunk Low Premium Yamakasa Pack. Composed of colorblocks in patent leather with etched Japanese graphics, symbolic of the brightly colored Yamakasa floats.
