Continue on to raise awareness about the disappearing nature all around us, PUMA just announced a new edition to its collaboration with atmos (of Tokyo and NYC) and famed nature photographer Mitsuaki Iwago (岩åˆå…‰æ˜) As the second addition which highlight endangered species in Asia, this PUMA Suede Mid drew inspiration from the Giant Panda of China, plus its main diet, bamboo. At last count, there are only 3,000 in the wild and 180 in captivity . That number might be even less than since the devastating earthquake in May destroyed numerous natural habitat for the pandas.
Features a premium suede upper in black, a fur ankle collar, accented with white leather and bamboo leaf graphics on the side panels. In addition, 3 sets of colored laces to coordinate with it, with the atmos’ “A” logo imprinted on the lace tips. There is also an atmos’ “A” on the heel of the sneaker. And similar to the previous edition in this unique collaboration, the sneaker features Iwago’s photography as the removable insole, plus the animal’s name and habitat on the reverse tongue and the outsole in both English and Japanese.
