Established in 1977, Athletics West was a revolutionary training program created by http://nike.com” target=”_blank”>Nike. Essentially a clubhouse, runners could trained to maximize their potentials for the Olympic games without distractions. The one unique aspect was that Athletics West was Nike wholly sponsored it, a concept which predated what are now called performance/product test centers by some 10 years.
In celebration of this storied history, along with the launch of the new NSW line, Nike partnered with Japanese label http://loopwheeler.co.jp” target=”_blank”>Loopwheeler in creating some extraordinary soft cotton fleece (some compared it to cashmere made of cotton) for the AW77 Zip Hooded Sweatshirt. Since the unique looming machines are about 80 years and notoriously slow. Nike and Loopwheeler are only able to produce a very limited batch each time, making this special garment even more so.
