Ricky Powell Presents: Apt. A - Street Photography NYC
A legend in his own right, celebrated photographer Ricky Powell, along with retailer SUGARHEAD QUARTERS (SHQ), will kick-off Powell’s retrospective exhibition this Tuesday, October 7th. A perennial archivist, who documented the birth of Hip-Hop, the raise of graffiti, and the ever changing urban culture of NYC. Not to mention dear friends like Beastie Boys, Futura, Zephyr, and more… Apt. A will revisit the photographer’s works from the last 20+ years. Festivities will start at 7 pm, with an afterparty at Beauty Bar on East 14th Street. The exhibition will continue till December 7th, then tour around the globe in 2009.
