DOARAT - Sweet Harmony Selection - Yuuri Morishita ( 森下悠里)
Derived from the word photogravure, a photo printing process, gravure (or gravure model) is a general term/description given to swimsuit or glamour models in Japan, such as the popular Aki Hosino (ほしのあき). However, unlike other countries, in the idol-driven entertainment industry of Japan. A gravure model is cast through a multitude of disciplines or roles - actress, singer, variety show hosts, to even as contenders on the popular Kinniku Banzuke (Unbeatable Banzuke) game show.
In conjunction with its 10th anniversary celebration, the Harajuku-base retailer/brand DOARAT established the Sweet Harmony Selection, a t-shirt collection features 5 of the most popular gravure models: Yoko Kumada (熊田曜子), Hitomi Aizawa (相澤仁美), Yuuri Morishita ( 森下悠里), Natsuko Tatsumi (辰巳奈津子), Aya Kiguchi (木口亜矢). Each t-shirt feature a antiqued photo of the models in swimsuit in front, with DOARAT’s Sweet Harmony Selection insignia, printed in bold font, on back. All 5 limited editions are now available at both DOARAT flagship stores in Tokyo (Harajuku district) and Fukuoka, as well as online at eproze of ZOZOTOWN.
