Annie Leibovitz: A Photographer’s Life 1995 2005

The Brooklyn Museum has organized a photography exhibition featuring works of world-renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz (Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair Magazine) at UK’s prestigious National Portrait Gallery that runs to February 1, 2009. The exhibition contains over 150 photographs of famous faces such as Jamie Foxx, Al Pacino, Nicole Kidman and Brad Pitt, moving moments in political history (such as reportage from the siege of Sarajevo in the early `90s, and the election of Hilary Clinton to the US senate), as well as personal work of her family (including her parents and children), vacations, reunions and close friends. When it comes to life and work, Leibovitz doesn’t separate the two ‘I don’t have two lives,’ Leibovitz says. ‘This is one life, and the personal pictures and the assignment work are all part of it.
