An interesting project between Conde Nast - Men’s Vogue publication and Franco-Italian luxury outerwear maker Moncler was announced yesterday. The Men’s Vogue x Moncler – Austin Jacket, a replica of the outfit Moncler created for the French ski team in the 1968 Winter Olympic at Grenoble. The jacket, with its extensive articulation for mobility down the ski slope, is layered with premium grade goose down.
Limited to 220 units only, each is individually numbered and sold exclusively through lux department store BARNEYS NEW YORK. However, the first 5 of the jackets were allocated for a charity auction on eBay to benefit DonorsChoose.org, a non-profit organization which create a channel for people to donate to a specific project within the public school system of United States. Since its inception in 2000 by Bronx school teacher Charles Best, the organization has donated over $20 million dollars to 45,000 different public school projects nationwide.
The charity auction will end next Monday, October 27th, at 7:43 pm Pacific Time. Interested parties should not let this opportunity slips away.
