VANS has released two colorways of what looks to be an entirely new shoe, the Rata Vulc, which takes the original VANS Rata shoe and updates it with a vulcanized outsole giving it more of a street friendly appearance and feel. The two colorways come in either Blue and Sail or Black and White, both pairs use a Hemp material on the upper with subtle VANS branding. They are available now at Bows and Arrows.

The Air Jordan Flight 45 High is a new sneaker from Jordan Brand that like other new Jordan Brand silhouettes pays homage to the history of the brand by using inspiration from past Air Jordan’s on newly created models. This colorway goes a step further by paying tribute to Michael’s first comeback when he wore the number 45 for the Chicago Bulls. The upper of this Jordan Flight 45 High Quickstrike is filled with various numerical combination that all tie back to MJ’s comeback. Available now at select Jordan Brand retailers including Extra Butter.

For the 2010 Spring/Summer collection Nixon have used orange as its key color and this bright color reflects the Sun and its warm light as well. They will be dropping the popular The 51-30 watches incorporating the orange color against the black backdrop putting a twist on the classic design.

On one hand The 51-30 PU takes a more casual approach with the all black watch detailed with orange dial, accents on hands and logos. As the model name suggests, they have not used a metallic band but have gone with PU material in black color giving it a divers watch aesthetic. On the other hand The 51-30 Chrono takes definite inspiration from Sunset with the whole face made in a smooth gradation of orange from top to bottom, accented with black dials. This version is more formal with its all black metallic band.

Another pair of the Nike x Futura Air Force 1 “Be True” pack has been released, this pair being the Air Force 1 Low Premium in all White with a splash of Orange. This AF1 Low like the rest of the AF1′s in the collaboration pack features a semi translucent outsole that reads “Be True” in Futura’s signature script. Additionally the upper features the use of a nice soft premium White leather. For added comfort and breath-ability these Air Force 1′s have been upgraded with mesh lining on the collar and inside of the shoe. Brooklyn based frame builders Brooklyn Machine Works have been going strong with their various frames across BMW, MTB and now fixed gear. Their Gangsta frame is regarded as a tough frame but Brooklyn Machine Works have decided to up the game with a freestyle inspired The Launchpad frameset which is geared towards more trick styles.

This version is same as the collaboration between Brooklyn Machine Works and Element however as an initial release these will not have the Element stickers on it. These are currently available at W-Base in Tokyo and available in Long or Short sizes. Cluster Fork is included in the set that will be much more stronger and versatile as well. via: W-Base

3Sixteen has collaborated with Quoddy Trail on this entirely new silhouette called the Deck Chukka that like all Quoddy Trail shoes are crafted by hand from start to finish. The shoes are created from Navy Chromexcel leather which is from the legendary Chicago Horween Tannery. Additional features on this collaboration shoe include a full grain leather vamp, nickel eyelets, and a handsewn lock-stitched tip and kicker. They are available now at select retailers including Bows and Arrows.

Scheduled for a release in the early January are yet another classic sneaker from Reebok Pump series, the Twilight Zone Pump. These sneakers made an impact on and off the basketball court with its high cut silhouette for support, striking color combination and of course the Pump system. This model is also known by Dominique Wilkins wearing it in the NBA putting Reebok on the map of basketball sneakers. Also this model features the special cushioning system developed by Reebok on the heel to absorb shock using plastic tubes. Four colorways will be available showing 90′s flavor in white/lime, black/white, white/red and grey/blue combination with orange Pump on the tongue.

After a number of previews throughout the course of the year, the new Nike Air Maxim 1 Torch+ ND in Black and Varsity Maize is finally available at retail. This shoe should be considered an update to the Air Maxim 1 as it features Nike’s newest innovation, Torch, which allows for the shoe to be more breathable and lightweight. This first colorway of the Nike Air Maxim 1 Torch comes in Black and Varsity Maize, a perfect compliment to some of the LIVESTRONG shoes that have already been released this year. Here is a preview of a new VANS Syndicate sneaker that is a collaboration with Luke Meier of Supreme. While this sneaker isn’t scheduled to drop until Fall 2010, some are already calling it the best Syndicate sneaker that Vans has ever created. Luke Meier worked with Vans Syndicate on developing this entirely new silhouette that features the use of various premium materials including soft suede and premium leather. via: Jun Jo

Ludacris along with some friends were seen at John Legend’s birthday party that was held in New York City on Monday night. While John Legend wore a suit to celebrate his birthday, Luda was spotted wearing the new 10.DEEP “Terrible Tenth” Jacket that Diddy was seen wearing only a few days earlier. Ryan Leslie, Consequnce, Christine Teigen, Estelle, and more friends were also in attendance to celebrate John Legend’s birthday.

First launched at the beginning of 2009, the Nike Toki gave sneakerheads something new that they hadn’t yet seen from Nike yet, a classic vulcanized sneaker that is subtle and sophisticated. Fast forward to the end of 2009 and Nike has just released a new colorway of the Nike Toki in Obsidian and Vivid Pink using Obsidian suede for the upper matched with a White midsole/outsole that features a Vivid Pink stripe running across it.
