Barack Obama Inaugural: Runway To Change Collection – Derek Lam Unisex T-Shirt
With anticipation of next week’s presidential inauguration reaching a fever pitch. Organizers for President-elect Barack Obama and the Presidential Inaugural Committee have invited some of the leading figures in American fashion to create commemorative merchandises for this historical occasion. As part of “Runway to Change” project, proceeds from the limited edition products will contribute to cost of the inauguration, which some estimated to be around $45 million dollars.
Designers who participated in the project include Diane von Furstenberg, Tory Burch, Alexander Wang, Zac Posen, Donna Karan, Narciso Rodriguez, Derek Lam, and more… To stay on points of President-elect political message, most of the items were made from organic cotton and eco-friendly dyes. All of Runway to Change Collection is currently available at the temporary Presidential Inaugural Store in Washington D.C. and the Runway to Change online shop. Via:: WWD
