With a propensity of re-introduce classics to the masses, Junya Watanabe of COMME des GARÇONS recently partnered with British footwear maker Tricker’s in their interpretation of a wingtip oxfords. Founded by Joseph Tricker in 1829, the company prides itself by continuing the same labor-intensive process of bespoke shoe making today, now with the family’s fifth generation. Though commonly imitated, it was Ticker’s who first introduced the intricate brogue highlights on its shoes, over a hundred years ago.
You will find the Junya Watanabe - COMME des GARÇONS x Tricker’s Brogue Wing-tip Shoe currently at the Parisian boutique Colette and other COMME des GARÇONS retail locations.
