While much attention had been paid to the urban cultures in Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan in recent years, one country often overlooked was Korea. However, that is rapidly changing as a confluence of cultures within that nation begins to introduce new ideas to its cityscapes. Ideas include the world’s largest b-boy competition, graffiti live painting event, to home grown street wear label such as BURIED ALIVE, an in-house brand created by the Seoul boutique HUMANTREE.
Last month, BURIED ALIVE launched its first collaboration with progressive skate/lifestyle company C1RCA in the re-designing of the popular Adrian Lopez 50. Instead of the original mono-material upper, the BURIED ALIVE x C1RCA AL 50 features a cushioned mesh tongue in Tiffany blue with a specially designed logo tag, a contrasting grey suede vamp, plus BA theme graphics along the side and interior lining.
