For those who are aware of the Japanese skateboard scene then http://people.zozo.jp/shinokada/” target=”_blank”>Shin Okada needs no introduction, however for those who are unaware, Okada was the first ever Japanese skateboarder to be sponsored by an American skateboard company, Color run by another legendary skater, Kris Markovich. It was a monumental feat for a Japanese skater to be accepted and also recognized for his skill abroad at the time when skateboarding was considered pretty much an American culture and industry. The rest is history and it is not extreme to say Okada paved the way for Japanese skaters and he is still an active pro skater who’s influences reach many in the skate/street scene in Japan and around the world.
Fast forward about a decade and Okada has established an apparel brand called Push Connection last year. With this year being the first season, they have released a collaboration with http://gaudi-sag.com/” target=”_blank”>SAGLIFE based on their popular Delta Force I Revival model called Delta SJ. The intention was to make this backpack more mature and luxurious with use of all black fabrics in real suede, real nubuck and fake crocodile. To set it off they used an original Push Connection checker pattern printed as a hidden highlight on the inner lining of the bag. Accompanying this backpack is a Music Phone Case with the same checker pattern that can be attached to the backpack.
