The 80s in Japan marked the beginning of the very popular children’s television program titled Gachapin and Mukku. With many of the current generation of fashion designers growing up watching these characters on television, it is no surprise that collaborations are popping up in Japan. One collaboration that dropped recently is by apparel company Doarat, who celebrated their 10th anniversary late last year.

Gachapin and Mukku are names of real life sized characters which look like monsters of some sort and who are good friends. Gachapin is the green, outgoing character while Mukku is the red, shy character. The graphics is clean and simple, and stylized versions of the real life characters. Via Samurai
