adidas Originals has marked 2009 with the unveiling of 60 Years of Soles and Stripes – a year-long celebration of its rich heritage and the pivotal moment when Adi Dassler introduced the iconic 3-Stripes logo, 60 years ago this year.

To mark the occasion, adidas Originals will introduce commemorative designs through out the year, including this special adidas Originals – Superstar Diamond, the popular Superstar model in its original variation embedded with yes, real diamonds. Only 100 pairs will be available here in the U.S. and retails for US$ 600.  Scheduled to be release next month, March 2009.
