colette – MeWeRecycle Project

By - June 2nd, 2009

colette MeWeRecycle ProjectMeWeRecycle is a new eco-project going on at colette, with curation by designer Karta Healy. The project showcases a collection of various designers and artists’ work inspired by their love for bicycling and recycling. The project aims to exercise creative recycling, and proudly proclaims a slogan “There is no recycling without cycling and no cycling without recycling”.

All items ranging from apparel such as jackets to home furnishings like bowls are produced from recycled material. Some interesting objects include Bomdesign‘s Music Bowl made from discarded vinyl, Hong Kong based designer, Sonjia’s jacket and dresses recreated in modern silhouettes from aged kimonos,  and eco-friendly sneakers from action sports label, Etnies. The project will be showcased from Jun 1 to Jun 20, and all items are up for sale now online at Colette.
