We can leave our tracks, but not our carbon footprints with the new collection from http://etnies.com”>Etnies for http://freshnessmag.com/2009/06/02/colette-mewerecycle-project/” target=”_blank”>colette’s MeWeRecycle Project. As previously mentioned, the creative project by http://colette.fr” target=”_blank”>colette encourages creative recycling and Etnies has graciously developed a line of 100% carbon neutral sneakers based on its popular pro-model shoe, Senix. The Senix LV Sacre Green collection is created from sustainable material such as 100% organic hemp, bamboo and textiles. Soy-based ink, water-based glue, PET recycled laces and recycled rubber are pulled together to bring us the Eco-friendly Senix Sacre Green.
The shoes come in five colorways in a variety of designs- there is the louder pair in bright yellow base and patchwork motif print; a grey pair with colorful ethnic prints reminiscent of the North Indian hand-made quilts; and of course, basic blacks and whites are available but with a great printed sole for an added punch. These shoes are all housed great shoe boxes with seeds interlaced in the box body, so the shoebox can be planted and grown into more greens. Do check out the collection online at http://colette.fr”>Colette.
