For Winter 2009, Burton Snowboards will introduce a new technical apparel line named Burton Restricted. To best exploit this new opportunity, Burton gave a group of its team riders: Keegan Valaika, Mason Aguirre, Yale, and Kazo creative control. The result was a collection created for riders who desire the best performing outerwear on the slope or backcountry. Yet, appreciate its everyday usage off the mountain.
The riders also added some of their favorite artists/designers into the fray, including works from the legendary comic book artists Robert Crumb, or better known as R. Crumb. Printed in all-over pattern of discarded everyday vices on its exterior, the Burton x R. Crumb Restricted Dyer Jacket opened up (much like a real comic book) into multiple black/white panes of Crumb notorious comic about sexual innuendos, violence, and crimes.
The Jacket also featured:
- DRYRIDE Durashell 2-Layer Coated Fabric
- Thermacore Insulation
- Taffeta Lining
- Burton Sig Fit
- Link ZIP Jackt-to-Pant Interface
Limited to only 500 units and shipped in a “black bag”, the Burton x R. Crumb Restricted Dyer Jacket will be available, along with the rest of Burton Restricted Collection, at selected Burton dealers only starting in August and September of this year.
Release Date: August/September 2009
