Indonesia is not the first place that comes to mind in terms of street art or graffiti or even art in general however Darbotz is a long time graffiti writer who has made a name for himself as an important figure in the street scene in the capital Jakarta and Indonesia wide. Some may have seen his monotone character style in the recent Nike campaign amongst other high profile works. His highly recognizable signature Cumi character is a monster squid that will be featured heavily in this exhibition as well.
Geseho in Singapore will host the first solo exhibition for Darbotz outside of his native land and for those in the area should definitely check the intricate artworks by one of the talented artists to come out of South East Asian street art/graffiti scene.
