Relatively new among the New Balance footwear line, the M850 (aka 850) first came off the production line at the storied Flimby factory in 1991. The intent behind its design was to act as a conjointment of all technologies New Balance had to offer at that time. So the shoe was primed for elite athlete only. Gradually, M850 found its niche among the urban settings around the world and now its one the more popular model for urbanites, especially those in Tokyo.
For Fall 2009, New Balance will introduce few new addition and designs, including the M850 “Basket”. THe sneaker’s exterior makes subtle transition between breathable mesh, suede and leather, while a large portion of it is dominated by a leather mid-panel embossed with lattice design, hence the term “Basket”. Available in 2 vibrant colorways of blue/orange and red/lime. Both are now for sale at Parisian boutique colette.
