Looking for Love In All The Wrong Places

UK Graffiti artist, INSA, ran through the city of East London in 7 days, leaving behind 35 different hand-painted pieces of feet donning a skeleton of Air Max 1 on Charlie Dark’s map for Nike Sportswear’s IAM1 Journey Project. The feet are positioned as if running, and little tags of years are painted to document the kick’s journey not just through space, but also through time. The IAM1 Journey Show is produced by Protein and documented by INSA’s longtime collaborator photographer, Ethel. All these 35 pieces come together to form one of the center pieces at INSA’s major London solo show, “Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places” in 2009. This video documentary you see here will be deconstructed at the INSA’s show with painted objects and behind the scenes documents. The show will be held at London’s Nike Sportswear 1948 pop-up shop, running from Jul 17 to 26, and visitors can expect to see varius mixed media new work from the artist. On another note, the show will also be the launch for the new Nike Air Maxim 1.
