URSUS BAPE By Tetsu Tet Nishiyama

Much of the speculation can come to a rest as http://bape.com” target=”_blank”>A Bathing Ape (BAPE) announced the addition of a new sub-label titled URSUS BAPE.  Headed by Nico’s friend & fellow designer Tetsu “Tet” Nishiyama, Creative Director of http://wtaps.com” target=”_blank”>WTAPS, the new collection expands on previous collaboration that was only available in Japan.  To differentiate URSUS BAPE from the general BAPE Collection, look for a skeletal motif of http://bape.com” target=”_blank”>BAPE‘s GENERAL logo.  The logo also hinted its new design theme, which is said to be “dark” and “Pop-Art like”, with inspiration from militarism, workwear, and outdoor aesthetics. Expect more to come from this new label in the next few months.
