URSUS BAPE By Tetsu Tet Nishiyama

Much of the speculation can come to a rest as A Bathing Ape (BAPE) announced the addition of a new sub-label titled URSUS BAPE.  Headed by Nico’s friend & fellow designer Tetsu “Tet” Nishiyama, Creative Director of WTAPS, the new collection expands on previous collaboration that was only available in Japan.  To differentiate URSUS BAPE from the general BAPE Collection, look for a skeletal motif of BAPE‘s GENERAL logo.  The logo also hinted its new design theme, which is said to be “dark” and “Pop-Art like”, with inspiration from militarism, workwear, and outdoor aesthetics. Expect more to come from this new label in the next few months.
