ZEVS Arrested After Liquidated CHANEL Sign In Hong Kong

In preparation for his first solo exhibition in Hong Kong’s Art Statements Gallery, Parisian graffiti artist ZEVS decided to take a brief detour a few hours ago for a “bombing” run.  Armed with a ladder, black paint, factitious cleaning crew outfit and barricade tape,  he went on to adorn the signage of CHANEL – Central District flagship store with his signature “Liquidated” motif…  Unfortunately, local law enforcements were notified and ZEVS was arrested soon after these images were taken… No news on whether he’s been release yet or whether he will make it to the opening of the exhibit this Tursday…

he did this to illustrate the brand wars and consumerism mindsets across the globe... he figured it to be satirical and an extreme contrast in the world of high end fashion. i love this guy,

i think he chose to do this publicity stunt / "art work" in the wrong city & the wrong building... hong kong doesn't tolerate acts of vandalism and public defacing, so he'll be made an example of in the courts. and... chater house is owned by the hongkong land property behemoth... well, credit where credit's due... at least he used children's water-based paint... apparently! so that's why he's contesting the HK$6.7 million cleaning fee

I think that is just disrespectful to the brand and the building owner and ZEVS got what he deserved
