Hundreds of VIPs, artists, art lovers, and members of Parisian creative scene converged at Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin yesterday evening to celebrate the debut of STAGES – A Global Art Exhibition, an event established by Nike and LIVESTRONG to raise awareness on the battle against cancer. 2 dozen works of art were created by some of the world’s renowned contemporary artists, some of whom also visit the opening festivities last night including Tom Sachs, KAWS, Eric White, DZINE, Jos © Parl ¡ and more. Other one of the kind works also on display from Cai Guo-Qiang, Rosson Crow, Jules De Balincourt, Shepard Fairey, Andreas Gursky, Geoff McFetridge, Yoshitomo Nara, Catherine Opie, Raymond Pettibon, Lari Pittman, Richard Prince, Ed Ruscha, Kenny Scharf, Christopher Wool, and Aaron Young. After its European leg, the exhibition will be on display in the U.S. this Fall. Then, all works will be auction off with 100% of proceeds benefiting LIVESTRONG – Lance Armstrong Foundation for its fight against cancer.
The exhibition is open to the public today and last till August 8th.
