For the past few months, CLOTone had given their collections rather clear directions in terms of design and representation. The brand had come up with five different emotions and worked their items around to express these emotions to help their wearers pick out the fitting means of self-expression. For their new product launches this season, the items continue to revolve around Playful, Power, Dark, Earth and Pure. Here we have a closer look items for each category as they are released this Saturday, Jul 25.
For the Power category, the brand had produced a polka-dotted polo shirt named kzKLOT POLKO based on the five pantone colors of the Power theme. On the chest pocket, the words “The Color of Emotions” are printed across a scroll framed over the five different dots.
In the Earth category, folks at CLOTone had fittingly came up with Safari Shirts with leather shoulder straps While the Safari Shirt was originally seen in the desert plains of Africa, this one from CLOTone will be fitting for a metropolitan adventure through concrete jungles.
Taking a turn to Dark, nothing represents darkness and desloation more than the Apocalypse. The Apocalypse Shirt is a drearier rendition of the Safari Shirt. The chest pockets feather a leather lapel flap and both the front and back feature blood and stain splotches, probably remaining evidence of a disaster.
As for Playful, the brand works on a popular trend that had been much discussed for women in Spring/Summer 2009–the jumpsuit. The light blue Our Shit Your Jumpsuit is deliberately distressed in the back and on thighs. The piece features striped ribbed cuffs on legs and sleeves, and reminiscent of a garage worker. Depending on how you style it, it could be a trendy statement piece.
Other than apparel, the brand also came up with five belts of matching colors to the apparel, so check them out alongside their counterparts. Some pieces are limited to certain retailers– for example, Our Shit Your Jumpsuit is an online exclusive and the Safari Shirt is limited to JUICE HK and JUICE KL only, so go to the right place for the right thing.
