COMME des GARçONS Six x Yayoi Kusama Exhibition Event Recap

The exhibition by http://yayoi-kusama.jp/”>Yayoi Kusuma at COMME des GAR ‡ONS’ art space “Six” was nothing but ordinary as one would expect. As http://freshnessmag.com/2009/08/04/comme-des-garcons-six-x-yayoi-kusuyama-room-to-grow-exhibition/”>previously posted, the exhibition took place in bustling Osaka where guests were greeted with the exhibition space dimly lit up by UV lights as opposed to conventional tungsten lights. Guests were given information prior, via: their invitation cards, which outlined that there would be a live performance that requires participation of guests. Each person present at the exhibition was required to stick various colored circular sitckers on what ever they liked in the space, whether on artwork, installations, furniture or even other fellow guests. The amazing result is the reaction between UV lights and stickers and interaction between people and the exhibition space.
