103 years ago, New Balance started out with a goal to reinvent running shoes with better arch support systems for runners in the city of marathons, Boston. 103 years since then, New Balance had grown into a global enterprise dedicated to sports and of course, the art of running. This year, the brand is opening its first ever experience store in Beijing, China.
The new experience store will span 2000 square feet over two stories on a historical Qianmen Ave. The store ambiance is very nostalgic with interior design drawing heavily from the 1950s and 60s. New Balance paraphernalia from the 1910s flank the store and is complemented by a rich scent of oak, invoking a sense of history and depth to the brand, inviting customers to have a complete sensory engagement with the brand.
Accompanying the landmark event is a grand opening with a New Balance Carnival. The carnival will feature trappings of a real carnival with classic games, gifts, balloon and decor. On the opening day, 123 limited edition t-shirts will be gifted to guests and there will also be a chronological product display which explains shoes alongside the company history. Check out the preview photos of the store before the launch!
Opening Date : Aug 15 (Saturday)
