Australian brand Ksubi moved into Shibuya’s Cannabis with something to say and it’s not just ” Home Honey, I’m Hi”. The ironically titled pop-up shop which was previously the brand’s installation, is built from blue tarp used in hand-built shelters for homeless folks in Japan.
The inside of the blue tarp has decorations and furnishings painted on in white and reflect the Japanese’s obsession with material comfort to rally for a simpler and hassle free living. Interestingly and ironically, the commentary on materialism now houses Ksubi items for sale.
