For everyone who enjoyed Jeremy Scott’s coltish collaborations with adidas Originals (albeit the slightly more controversial Three Tongue Altitude), the designer’s own Fall/Winter 2009 collection will quite literally, in the designer’s own words, “make people smile”.
And where else do people smile other than the happiest place on Earth? Scott draws his inspiration for this season from none other than the international childhood favorite, Mickey Mouse. The palette of this collection is a playful mix of Mickey Mouse’s red and black with pops of yellow. Cheerful and spirited prints of man donning mouse ears and phones found their ways onto 80s inspired silhouettes of oversized tees, pullovers, narrow layered skirts and leggings.
Items from the collection are now available online via: colette, so get your dose of happiness if the magic kingdom isn’t on your list of vacation spots this year.
