By a seldom use freight rail along Brooklyn, Mishka and photographer Marley Kate documented the new lookbook for the label’s Fall 2009 Collection. Filled with sepia filtered images, the lookbook visits a bygone era when Brooklyn seems like a world away and Dog Day Afternoon was still showing in move theaters. The sentiment is also expressed in this season’s design, where the design focus on a few selected American classics – tried and true outerwear like the Mariner Pea Coat and Mephisto Motor Cycle Jacket, to plaid flannel workwear, such as Hudson Plaid and Loveless Plaid. Finishing the collection include staples Boris Denim, Alexei Denim, sleek cut & sewn, and a limited t-shirt collection aptly named after the lookbook, Born Under A Bad Sign.
All of the Mishka Fall 2009 Collection will be available in its flagship store starting this Friday, August 21st, and authorized retailers in the coming weeks.
