As the launch of Opening Ceremony Tokyo nears at the end of this week, the store doubles up on their releases of exclusive collaborative items for their Tokyo landing. Bringing one of the greatest heritage US shirt makers with them, Opening Ceremony partnered up with Gitman Bros. and tapped into the brand's archives for inspiration on tailoring, fabric and design.
To bring a little something extra to the brand that had offered a solid and steady collection of classic patterns such as checks, plaid and so forth, Opening Ceremony took a little extra creative liberty and had their designers dip-dye a capsule collection specially for their Tokyo locale. The dip-dye shirts are previewed in two colorways- one in a indigo palette featuring purple, blue and pink while the other is coral reef inspired in orange, green and blue.
These shirts will be exclusively available at Opening Ceremony Tokyo unlike some of the other items. For those who can't make it out to the land of the rising sun, Opening Ceremony does promise more collaborations to come.
