We have been talking and hearing talk about the collaboration between Opening Ceremony and heritage American brand, Pendleton, for a while now, and the collection finally debuted at the hipster-cool retailer just in time as New York City gets cool, albeit slightly dreary.
Pendleton has been in the game for and run by the same family for five generations now, and also the first to create shirts inspired by Native American blankets. Joining forces in this matrimony wows us with a collection that stays grounded in Pendleton's signature authenticity and woolen knits, yet modern with new silhouettes and shapes. For the men's line, a comprehensive collection of tops ranging from colorful button downs such as utility shirts with elbow patches featuring signature Pendleton patterns, to traditional woolen zip vests in a bright toss of turqoise, rust and red and barn jackets in equally cozy colors.
A happy weekend collection great for trekking upstate and exploring through the woods, or for the less travelled, a journey to people watch at a little cafe in Brooklyn on Sunday, the collaboration definitely puts a happy Pendleton lining in the overcast sky. Available now at Opening Ceremony.
