As a part of Oakley’s collaborative Oakley Artist Series, the outdoor gear company famed for their sporty technical shades has collaborated the likes of C100, CAIA Coopman, Frank Kozik and The London Police. Dropping this coming October as a part of the series’s latest release is a collaboration with Montreuill-based artist, Mambo. The Franco Hungarian artist is known for his figurative work which taps into icons of the modern society, especially popular images in media and consumer culture. For the collaboration with Oakley, the artist worked on the Antix which fuses street sophistication with attitude. The artist’s prints feature figures and anatomical parts interjected into intertwining geometric shapes that seem to span on organically. The style is highly painterly in a neutral burnished palette of tans, olives and black. The shades come housed in a matching box, matching Microclear bag and a vinyl toy that also doubles as a sunglass holder. They are only limited to a run of 100, so check back with Oakley to secure your pair.
