COMME des GARÇONS wanted to hold The Beatles’ hands and did so successfully in a partnership that was just reported on WWD. Rei Kawabuko’s well-loved label gears up with Apple Corps Ltd which handles the legacy and music of the legendary global sensation to create a new collection of bags under The Beatles/ COMME des GARÇONS label. Set to debut very soon in mid November at London’s Dover Street Market and Tokyo’s Gyre, distribution to other places will follow as more information is released. While we don’t know what the products look like at the moment, it sounds like this winning combination can do no wrong.
