Since http://converse.com”>Converse’s long standing partnership with (RED) on the Converse 1HUND(RED) campaign, we are not unfamiliar with the concept of kicks for lives. After a http://freshnessmag.com/2009/09/30/huf-x-converse-1-hundred-artist-skidgrip-hi/”>recent release with HUF, next up is the collaboration with http://stapledesign.com”>STAPLE, working on a new model they co-released earlier this year–Seastar Mid. Keeping all features that made the Seastar Mid what it is, the kicks still retain nautical characteristics such as the puffy mid ankle collar with laces running through them like those on deck shoes. The collar exterior is water resistant and are done up in a mix of red, black and white– keeping in line with the (RED) theme. Of course, according to Mr. Staple himself, it’s supposed to feel a little like “23”, and as far as we know, that color combination can never go wrong on sneakers. The kicks are due to drop exclusively on Oct 8 at Reed Space, so keep that in mind if you are still looking for a rocking charitable cause to contribute to this year.
