While Dr. Martens in itself is already an established household name beyond the British Isles, the purveyor of sturdy boots which later became a iconic number for the underground punk rock scene, is finally opening up a pop-up shop for the first time ever in the U.S.
Location wise, Seattle is a befitting local for the label to establish its first temporary retail venture as the city’s vibrant youth culture and alternative music scene is congruous with the label’s independent spirits. Taking over a space just blocks away from Pike Place Market, the interior is transformed into a raw, wooded gambit to pay tribute to the label’s industrial roots. The Vintage Collection of boots Made In England, limited edition collaborations such as works with Stussy Deluxe, specialty products and the famed Originals can be found at the pop-up store. Check out pictures of the space and do take some time to drop by and stock up on some winter boots if you are in town.
