Announced over the news wire yesterday, athletic lifestyle label PUMA just went into agreement with French communication equipment maker Sagem Wireless,  in creating a PUMA branded cell phone.  The cell phone will be part of greater emphasis by PUMA on accessories and other design-related sector.  Though not familiar to American consumers, Sagem Wirelss has created a niche of design-oriented mobile device in recent years, including a success joint venture with PORSCHE DESIGN.  The PUMA cell phone is scheduled to debut in Europe around the Spring/Summer seasons of 2010.  A global release is scheduled for late 2010. via: WWD
