Nike follows up their release of the royal blue Foamposite Blazer, which paid homage to the classic Foamposite model color of an early Penny Hardaway shoe with a color that is synonymous with the Foamposite–eggplant. Utilizing the same structure as the royal blue Foamposite blazer, eggplant foam material appears on the entire upper. A patent leather swoosh breaks through in black to match the sole, the heel strip, the laces, and the tongue. Another feature in black is the tab in black that appears near the toe.
