In April of 1986, Michael Jordan scored 63 points on the Celtics in a playoff game. Who can forget the highlight of Jordan crossing over between his legs with a helpless Larry Legend defending him, and landing a jumper from the right baseline area? This shoe, like all the other 60+ models is a hybrid sneaker that combines elements of the Air Jordan II (2), III (3), v (5), and VII (7)–all of the models he wore during his 60 + point performances. We’ve already showed you photos of forthcoming 60+ releases to be released at the end of the year, and here we have a detailed look at the kelly green and white Celtics model. These look clean in a primarily white upper with green and black tooling. Patent leather on the midfoot and toe give the tumbled leather a nice counterpoint, while the white and splatter design above the soles provides some nice detail as well. Expect to see these at Jordan retailers soon, but you can beat everyone to the punch if you go to dunk.com.cn now.
Griffey may be near a retirement that will mark the end of a historic career. His legacy on the diamond is that of a first-ballot hall of famer who was maybe the best all around player of his generation. He also leaves behind the Griffey Max 1, which was a smash hit upon its retro release months ago. The model sold very well, and now Foot Locker’s blog reports that Foot Locker locations will be re-releasing the Royal/Black/Volt model sometime next week. If you missed your shot at these the first time around, now is your shot to get a pair.

With Halloween just around the corner, Japan’s MEDICOM TOY CO. struck an interesting arrangement with Disney recently in creating a vinyl figure of world’s most famous mouse, Mickey Mouse, in the likeness of Jack Skellington, the key character in Tim Burton‘s claymation classic The Nightmare Before Christmas. Each of the figure was casted in specific mold, then hand colored and painted. Though announced through MEDICOM TOY in time for Halloween, the Mickey Mouse “Jack Skellington” Edition will not be available till April of 2010.

This bright number from Nike is the women’s Air Troupe Mid which is based on the Air Troupe that was produced with dancing and beak dancing in mind. Taking inspiration from the 80′s with the extravagant use of metalic materials on the upper in either gold or silver. Matched with contrast color tongue and shoe laces and it maintains wearability with slim silhouette. One key point of this sneaker is the large opening at the rear ankle section that is connected by large support strap. Comfort is also not compromized with the addition of Air function in its heels.

With a good working relationship with the outdoor giant The North Face, atmoshave just released their 12th collaboration project. They have once again used the Scoop jacket model in an atmos like colorful finish adding pop aesthetics to the otherwise basic jacket design. With two tone split from the top and the bottom sections of the jacket in sacks blue/blue or purple/blue color combinations. Both jackets feature red inner lining as well as The North Face logo on the chest. The outer fabric is constructed of High Vent 2 Layer that keeps warmth while providing protection against water with the interior seams totally sealed.

Two recent Nike releases have featured denim as a primary material–the Gucci-themed SB highs in dark denim and the Selvage Blazers. This Dunk Low was previewed last month, and now we have some detailed images of what looks to be a model that will sell quickly. The looks are straigtforward and clean–an all black denim upper contrasted with a patent leather swoosh in black with a white and red sole. The liner is a highlight of the visuals as well, as it features a Three-Bears and Fender-styled liner that is super thick black fur. But the element of this shoe that makes it most unique is one that is not seen–it’s heard. When the tongue is pressed, the sound of bird chirps emerges from somewhere in the thick tongue. The official release of this sneaker is sometime next year, but for now, you can get a pair on ebay a few months early.

Another entry to the rival pack is this Nike Dunk High fro Eddie Cruz, whose LA-centric models include a Lakers-themed Air Force 1 and a Dodger Blue and Red Dunk High, has what looks to be a USC colorway on this dunk high. Like the blue Dunk High, this model includes smooth leather on the upper and a tonal suede leather with flecks of what looks to be an animal styled pattern. The striated pattern appears to be reflective, a nice counterpoint to a gold swoosh and heel tab. The tongue tab has a varsity letter-styled “WEST” on the nylon red tongue. In yet another homage to LA, Cruz keeps the heat coming, so let’s see what Clark Kent counters with for the “East” answer to this Dunk. Sample size 9s of this model are available on ebay.
